Tucker Steps down

It is with regret that New Bradwell manager Steve Tucker will be stepping down at the end of the season. Steve has not taken this decision lightly but due to work commitments he can not commit the time needed to be able to continue in the role. Steve took over from Steve Orchard back in November 2008 and along with assistant manager Glyn Creaser led the team to a 6th place finish last season and are on course for a 6th place finish again this term. Also this season under Steve and Glyn's guidance we have reached the Final of the County Cup which will suitably be Steve last game at the helm. During his time at the club he was also instrumental in introducing an Under 18's team which has just completed their first season in the Southern Counties floodlight league. Steve will be sorely missed but it is hoped that Steve will still be seen around the club when his work permits. The club would like to go on record and Thank Steve for all his Effort and commitment over the last couple of years. No Decision has been made on appointing a replacement manager.

Steve added “The decision to resign was done with a heavy heart as i have enjoyed my time with the club and i will miss the people and the players at New Bradwell. My work situation combined with the amount of hours i feel necessary to put into managing the team means i spend very little time at home- something had to give and hopefully temporarily, it has to be football. I would like to thank the committee and players for their effort and support. Special thanks to my right hand men, Adrian Haynes for his work off the pitch and my assistant Glyn creaser for being a coach, counsellor, comedian and friend all rolled into one”.
